Well I spent this weekend off in Venice. It was truly amazing. One of the most beautiful places I have been. It would be an amazing place to live if it wasn't for all the tourist everywhere. We did basically everything. Including walking what I say was at least 8 miles just on Saturday. We went to the Basilica di San Marco, which has beautiful mosaics both inside and out of it. Also the Doge's Palace was amazing. It is where the figure head of the Venetian Republic lived and also housed the Senate, Great Council, Courts and Prisons. So it was basically a pretty amazing place. We also saw a few museums which were pretty cool, including an archeological one with a lot of Greek and Roman statues. Then of course we spent time on the grand canal, at the Rialto Bridge, at dinner on it one night, and of course we did a Gondola right and right at sunset which was beautiful. Then on Sunday we went to the Island Murano. Which is where they make the most beautiful things out of glass. I am definatley going back one day when I have lots of money to buy tons of jewelry and pretty things to decorate my house with. But for now I had to settle with an amazing pair of earrings that i found. It was basically just an amazin weekend. I went with two girls, Angie and Lauren, who both go to the Univesity of Minnesota, and were so much fun.
This week has been a bit stressful since it has been midterms. My tests went pretty well though which was great and I only have one more next wednesday but it is for one of my favorite classes. Well my computer is about to die and I am off for Napesl for the week. But here is the link again and there are new pictures up so keep checking it out...

21 Years...
Well to start since I last wrote I turned 21. Which really isn't a big deal out here but it is fun since it is a day I have look forward to for awhile, and it was a fun day. It was full of classes during the day, including a trip to the Colesseum. Then we did dinner at the Hard Rock and it was soo gooodd!!! I miss American food. It was great, I had a burger, french fries, and a caesar salad. It was so good. Then a bunch of the girls and I went out for awhile since we didn't have class in the morning. So that was tons of fun, and it was basically just a good week. Then last weekend I spent it mostly in Rome, but did go to the Roman Castels. Which aren't actually castels but instead some cities up in the hills around Rome. It was great and beautiful. There was a huge storm when we were up there too and we got to watch it come in from over Rome. Here is the sunset from after the rain storm. It was basically just a fun chance to leave the city. Then this week has been nice other than the being sick. I have an icky cold but it just is and doesn't seem to want to go away. Luckly unlike at school I have time here to actually get sleep which is nice. So its been a pretty basic week doing nothing special. I have been reading a lot, found a new series about a high school girl who falls in love with a vampire. Sound familiar at all?? I have read over 1000 pages in the last week and that doesn't count the reading I have been doing for school, which is starting to pick up since we start midterms next week. This weekend I am off to Venice for the weekend with two girls I've met out here. It should be beautiful. I am really excited for it. Well I will write next week and tell you all how that went.

Assisi to Milano...
Well for the past two weeks or so I have basically been adjusting to living in Rome. So far it is going well for the most part. Where I left off is before we went to Assisi and Perguia. Assisi was amazing. It is that beautiful little town that you picture in Italy. The buildings range from before 100 BC to the new ones from the 15th Century. It is amazing to see how they take a Temple of Minerva and transform it into the Church that it has become today. I got a chance to really wander around the Basilica of Saint Fransisco, which was beautiful. To your right you can see the view of part of the town and the castle that sits above the town. I didn't get a chance to get up to it since I instead choose to wait and go to mass at the Basilica. From that we went to Perguia, which was a nice little town. Nothing amazing. There were some ancient parts and a pretty old Fortress but it really didn't seem that special to me.
Then classes started up the week after. I am taking Ancient Rome: Myths or Facts, which seems good were are learning a lot and next week we start our field studies for that class, not that I know what they are since we don't have a syllabus for the class yet. Hopefully I will get that today. Then I have Mystics, Saints and Sinners: The Medieval Catholic Church, so far it is pretty interesting, we have been studying Augustine who is interesting but too wordy for me. Italian Contemporary Politics is probably my favorite class so far, it is soo different from here and its really fun figuring it all out. Then I have Roman Architecture and Urban Design, which is going pretty well, its mostly a different way of approaching history that I am used to which is a nice change. We had class in the Roman forum last week and have it in the Coliseum this week which should be good. Then I am of course taking Italian which is going well. I am starting to learn more and more and can kind of use it. I'm working on it all and we will see how it goes.
This weekend I went to Milan. It was really great. Had a chance to really spend some time with Nurre and just talked a lot, which is something we haven't had time to do much lately. We also got to see a lot. The Duomo was amazing. It is the third largest church in the world and surpassed the Basilica of St. Fransisco as my favorite church so far. We also saw a lot of other little churches including the Church with the "Last Supper" in it, but not the actual painting since we didn't even plan are trip by the time we would have needed to make the reservation. We also just wandered and window shopped. Which was great being that Milan is the fashion capital of Europe. There was also this little canal area Navigli which was pretty fun to people watch and we stopped in a bar and watched the Milano v. Roma football (soccer) game. Sadly Roma lost. Hopefully I will get to a game while I am out here.
In between all of this I have been exploring a little bit around Rome. I am thinking I am going to do the Vatican Museums either Wednesday or Thursday and like I said I get to go to the Coliseum this week to. Just trying to hit a little bit at a time. Not sure if I will travel much this weekend but I am at least going to be going on a day trip to see the Roman Castles so we will see how it is all going to go. Thinking about maybe a day trip down to the Amafli Coast. Who knows. So things are basically good. Lots of possible travel plans that I just need to figure out at some point. But I am sure wherever I end up it will be amazing.

Ciao!
Well it is actually Thursday night when I am writing this but since I don’t have internet at home it wont be up until Monday. Well since it has defiantly been awhile, yes lazy me lets just tie up some loose ends. Well my last few weeks in D.C. were amazing. I really love the place. Spent a lot of time working and hanging out with Rachel. Ended up dog sitting for the last week, which was nice since I had a place to myself. Minus the bratty little dog, but its all good. Work ended very well, was given some more responsibilities at the end and the possibility of working with them again next summer although maybe out in the desert. I don’t know but hopefully something exciting will fall into place.
Now Roma! Things are pretty good here. In a lot of ways it isn’t too different from say NY or Chicago. In others it is very different. I love the food and well the American people I have met. Most Italians who you actually get talking to are very nice but its more the first impression. They aren’t big fans, but its all good. Have gotten around and have seen some amazing things. Haven’t made it to the Vatican yet but possibly Wednesday depending on my schedule. My first day here was really rough, I didn’t it the jetlag well. I was awake at 2 am and didn’t fall back to sleep until 12am the next night. So I was a bit out of wack but it was all better the next day. I have seen the pantheon and a bunch of piazzas. Also I from time to time change buses at the Coliseum! How cool is that. This weekend I am going up on a field trip to Asisi and Pergiua. Should be really interesting to see where the whole Franciscan order started. Then Sunday am planning on just going to church and then doing a little walking tour which just happens starts at the steps of the closest church to me. I am sure there is more to say so just shoot me an email if you have questions. Lately I have been just soo busy living life I haven’t quite gotten to writing about it. Miss you all lots and hope to here from you soon.
Ciao!!

Banana Pancakes...
Well lets say I need some banana pancake time... sometime to sit and just do nothing. I haven't been able to do that for awhile. Which really is the normal. So this weekend I went to New York with Brittain. We left Friday morning and took the bus up. It is a bit longer but a lot cheaper than taking the trains. Then we got there and made the way to the tour bus, we did the double decker bus tour all weekend. We went to the empire state building and then made are way into the theater district and saw rent. It was amazing. It is such a good and emotional and powerful and just great play. There are such happy and sooo sad parts and it is such an amazing story and the cast was great. Then we crashed and slept in which was very nice. Then we got back on the bus and went around central park and then we went around through the down town and went into Chinatown and to the trade center and then up to Rockefeller center and then ate dinner at the largest T.G.I.F. also the most expensive. Then we went through NY and Brooklyn at night. It was really cool. Got to see alot, focused much more on the architecture and it was great. Then we went to a comedy club and it was okay. One of the five comedians was great the others were ehh. Then sunday morning we went to the statue of liberty and eilis island. Now I have decided I want to create a family tree up both sides of my family since we dont have one, at least not that I know of. I don't know when exactly I will do this but sometime when I actually have free time. Which may not be anytime soon. Well then we went to the Sea Port which was a bit interesting and oh it rained and we got wet and well it was fun in some ways. We also went to the UN and had a tour there. It was amazing. Who knows maybe I will work on a staff there at some point. After that we went headed back. It was a relatively long bus ride. Didn't get to bed until about 130 and then I had to be at work at 830 for a 9am tour. Then I didn't leave until 730. It was a long day. I've been really busy at work and it will just continue that way. Although its all good. Some good things are going on and there is a bill to support towns/universities/others that are trying to pull away from using companies that are directly/indirectly affecting the genocide going on in Dafur and the Sudan. It is going to pass right through too which is great. Its nice when there is hope that are country is actually doing something good. Well now I am exhausted and I want to sleep. Get to sleep in a bit since I have to go to the Italian Embassy which doesn't open until 10am. Other than that I am just being very busy and very tired but all is good...
So basically what I need is to "sleep in pretend like its the weekend now, we could pretend it all the time..."

Of course it is all in your mind but why wouldn't that make it real...
Hehehe.... Well this weekend mostly involved reading Harry Potter. Which was amazing and that is all I have to say about that. I really just hope she keeps writing in general otherwise it would be a waste of talent. Other than that spent sometime with some Redlands people which is always nice. Thursday night I went and saw The Phantom of the Opera at the Kennedy Center. It was amazing at least as good as I remember it. The weekend was good although not too exciting. Today has been relativley eventful. Two tours and way too many phone calls while attempting to work. Other than that all is good.

Situation number three is the one that no one seizes and is often dismissed as fate...
So I have about 40 minutes to spend in the office before I run off and enjoy my Thursday night...Well lets see last weekend was pretty fun. Was out relatively late both Wednesday and Thursday night. Wednesday for a dinner with Redlands Alumni and other interns. It was fun, well once we finally found our group. Luckily I recognized someone who recognized someone else and so on. We eventually had dinner and it was nice to chat, learn more things about well the going ons here in D.C. as well as the past of the UoR. Then Thursday went with another intern to a job fair at the National Air and Space Museum. There were some interesting speakers and gathered info on abunch of government departments that I can look into later on. Since I really don't need to figure that all out quite yet. Although at this point I'm starting to look into law schools since I need to start preparing to apply when I get back from Rome. After those two exciting evenings I came home and crashed on Friday ate a nice and yummy dinner and watched two movies and went to bed. It was a very nice night. Then on Saturday I went with Rachel to Six Flags. It was lots of fun. Most of the lines werent to bad and we did all but one of the big rides. There was even one where you were laying down. So there were points that you only had the strap thing in between you and the ground. A bit creepy but also lots of fun. Sunday was pretty lazy. Went down to M street and watched while Rachel shopped. Then it was back to another week. It wasn't too bad. Nothing super exciting happened. I made myself meatloaf which I am very proud of. Went to a briefing. Did a bunch of work. Other than that it has been pretty basic. Which is not at all bad. Four weeks left and then I am home. Although it seems like it will go by quickly since I have big plans for two of the weekends at least. Well hope all is well with everyone...

Jack > Dave
Well we can get to my life later but I have decided that Jack Johnson is better than Dave Matthews for the sole reason that at Live Earth Dave Matthews only played one song and Jack played 7! yes that is a 7:1 ratio, so Jack wins! By the way I almost got to go to Live Earth NY but I'm glad I didn't cuz I would be soo upset that Dave Matthews only played one song. But nope and its okay since I had an amazing day anyways and the whole thing, all 9 concerts is online... http://www.liveearth.msn.com/ if you are interested.
Well this past week was great. I finally got a break. I had five days to enjoy live and be in great places with great people. Drove up to Jersey with Rachel my housemate on Wednesday. We have been getting along great, one of the few people that I have met here that I see myself being long term friends with. We have extremely different interests but know enough about each others interest to have good conversations about them but we are seriously the same exact person. We have the same personality, we both talk way too much, are very passionate yet somewhat obnoxious people. We even sleep the same, on our stomachs at the bottom of our pillows. We also seem to even though having very different experiences but have taken very similar lesson from them. It is really great to have someone who may not know me horrible well but really understands me and just how I think. By the ride home we were finishing each others sentences. Normally it takes me at least 3 months of spending way too much time with someone. So basically it is just great to have someone I click with.
So where I left off. We took a bit of a detour on our way up and visited Philadelphia or more looked at it and realized we went the wrong way. It allowed me though to for the first time in my life to go through 5 states in one day, not just in one day but in 4 hours. So weird. Anyways then I made it up to the Shore and enjoyed a nice evening with the family. I love being in quaint little places. Which would be the great thing about living out here is that I could just drive up to the Shore every once in awhile. Thursday looked as if it was going to be a nice day but not so much. Was chilly and cloudy so instead of the beach we went to go see Life Free or Die Hard. Which was a much better movie than I thought it would be, and I new it wasn't the first one but I had no clue it was the 4th so I now have all the Die Hard movies in my queue. Then we played baseballish on the beach which was lots of fun. I remember doing it last time I was out here but its a lot better when the youngest playing are 14 and not 8. 14 to 20 seems like a much smaller age difference than 15 to 8. Its still big but getting smaller. Then we did dinner at Pete and Elda's which was great, although I once again did not eat pizza there. I know I'm the weird child. Then later went to a cute coffee shop with just the girls and it was really a cute place, plus its open to 3:30am. I would love to have a place like it by campus. Friday we went to the beach and it really was a perfect day. Although I find that you have to pay $7 to get on the beach ridiculous. Yes in many (but not the best) places in SoCal you have to pay $7 to park at the beach for the day (or 7 hours) but you could also bring down 4 or more people in one car. So for my fam it would cost $28 to do a beach day. That is horrible. Defiantly the Cali better when it comes to that.Well it was great to spend the day at the beach, it was a Red Flag day with freezing cold water, but I still spent sometime good time in the water. Nothing keeps me out of the water (except for Jellyfish), and neither the cold or the waves were that bad. After the beach I was dropped of at the train station and made my way to Princeton. It is a gorgeous campus and area but the more Rachel talks about it the more I think the only go thing there is the academics. The Social scene seems horrible and clicky and just not much fun, they have no all school parties, only exclusive ones. That would ruin Redlands. Well we wandered around a bit and got Sushi for dinner. Then made our way into the city after waiting a bit too long for the train. Then I had a great college night. Just hanging out with a bunch of people in an apartment doing nothing special but having a good time. I miss those nights and Ive only been gone a month and a half. Then we attempted to sleep in but it did not really work. We then went down to the theatre district to see if we could get tickets to see Avenue Q, but we didn't win the lottery which is cool. So instead we wandered around Times Square for awhile and then at Lunch at the Hard Rock. I love Hard Rocks, putting three of my favorite things together music, history and well food. I'm really starting to think I want to do my Thesis on something in the 60s and it may tie what was going on it the world and how music/pop culture portrayed/affected that. Who knows let me know what you think. I just keep writing down ideas, sometimes when I go back to them I don't like them but the 60s just seem to stick. Well anyways...then we made our way down to canal street where I bought myself some pretty purses and I am oh so happy about that. From there we wandered down to Ground Zero. It was really cool to see it as well as the plans for what they are going to build. From that we grabbed are stuff and came home. Part of me wishes we stayed longer but I was so dead by the time we got home it was really good to have Sunday to catch up. I'm pretty sure I am going to make it back up there another week, with Brittian and possibly others, who knows. Katelyn might be there two so that will be lots of fun. I want to go up Thur and stay till Sun exploring and what not. I wont have anything till my tour at 11am on Mon so I can just get back late.
That was my big adventure. Today we were out of session which was nice and there wasn't much else going on. My tour didn't show up and the most productive things I did were organizing about 200 letter by date and writing Dani a letter. Well things are good. I'm half way done. Only 5 weeks left and I'm home. Seems like I just got here but there is part of me that can't wait to get home. Well I am sure it will come soon enough yet too soon.
Love ya All,
Meg

Love You...Love this town...
Its been a good weekend. I had friday off which was nice, slept in, got my laundry done, and went to the holocaust museum. Obviously the later is what was truly exciting. I have waited about 6 years and two weeks to do it and it was definalty worth it. I spent over 3 hours wandering around the museum and it is amazing, and so moving. Really reminds you to look at your life and go "life really is great", that whole perspective thingy. It was millions of times better than the Museum of Tolerance (the copycat in LA). I would def recommend it to anyone coming out here, even if you are not a history person. Then came back and just crashed for awhile, went to dinner with a bunch of my housemates and some of their friends, including our new housemate Julie who is from France and interning her for the summer. Then saturday was nice and causual. Woke up around 10ish and wandered to find the blockbuster that no longer exists. But instead found whole foods and came back and made french toast out of french bread for lunch. Then was lazy the rest of the day not doing much. Baked brownies and watched Phantom of the Opera, and read a lot ( I have now finished 5 books since I've been here). Oh by the way I have missed reading so much. I get to do it everyday which is great. Atleast when I commute which is at minimum and hour. Commuting is not the most stressful activity in the world if you have a book. Although that would not work in Socal since reading and the freeway do not mix well. Today started with going to church which was at 11 problem was I woke up at 1045, oh and its about an 8 minute walk. It was okay though. It was also the best mass I have out here so far. But im pretty picky. Then we went over to a friends house while waiting for people and watched wimbelton and Batman and Robin. Making fun of the later people were suprised that I actualy like Ice Man as my governor and who like him to run for Senate next (yes that would be a fun campaign to work on), maybe I won't leave Cali right after I graduate or just come back for a bit (since boxer isn't up for 4 years). But anyways so we then walked to foggy bottom, a metro stop about 2 miles away and then went to the Smithsonian Folk Festival. It was on Northern Ireland and a river area in Asia. Interesting but nothing too exciting but Im glad I did it. Im pretty sure Im from Southern Ireland but I have no clue. I think that is where the catholics are from but if you want to fill be in just let me know. At somepoint I want to get to know more about our family heritage, maybe Ill start doing that in my free time. Who knows... On the way back I did a bit shopping another 2 mile walk. But I found a pair of steve madden flats for $20, which makes me ohh soo happy. Then I came back had some dinner and crashed from all that walking. Plus this week I am going to go back up to the Jersey shore and visit the fam and then I finally get to go to NY this weekend and then get to see Great Britain, well maybe not Great Britain the place but Great Brittian the person is more than likely going to come out and spend a week with me. Which is great since I miss her and def miss all my friends so very much.
Basically life is great but Im tired so good night and to quote a country song. To all of you reading this "There's only one four letter word that will do ... Love You..."

Where I come from the weather doesn't change that quick...oh and it only rains this hard maybe twice a year...
My response to the man on the bus when I walked on soaking wet. So its been a bit. This week was good. Saturday I went on a white house tour which was fun just the old historic part which is lame in respects to what really goes on there but is still cool to see, but i did see the painting of Kennedy which is used in the opening clips of American President my fav movie. Then wandered a bit, around the mall and through the Air and Space museum. Didn't find what I was looking for but it was still good. We had a few people over so I got to meet some more people which is always good. Work this week was good. I didn't give a single tour which in ways is sad. Wrote a summary of all the ear marks we made for appropriations, a new constitent letter on Veterans Affairs, and spent alot of time running two and from the committee hearing this week. Along with all the old stuff. Today was nice, random stuff in the morning and then had a lunch with Redland's students and Alums. It was nice to get a taste of home. Then got half the day off so I decided to just walk home. Problem is it may seem just like a nice and normal hot and humid day but not thats not all. I made it about 2/3 of the way home when it starts sprinkeling and I go oh this is nice its hot out. Then it picks up a bit so I pull out my umbrella (which I now carry EVERYWHERE). Then about 2 minutes after this all started it is pouring, the sky falling down and blowing from all angles. Luckly I was only about 100 yards from a gas station where there is a bus stop. So that leads me to my title. I sit down on the bus after waiting about 5 minutes and I hop on and the guy who I sit across from just comments on my wetness. Its not my fault that I expect warning for rain and nothing you can't protect yourself from with an umbrella. So I get home watch the last two episodes of the Buffy/Angel story which is extremely depressing still (oh and that Love Song is NOT ON DVD, and even if i had my VHS copy I do not have a VCR). Then I decided to go shopping. Needed a few things. It is amazing to have headphones that work properly. I would say it was a successful trip even though I did not find the skirt I want but I did get tips that may help. I am supposed to have tomorrow off but that may change since I want to take some time off next week for a much more convenient trip to Jersey. It will all work it self out though...just planning on waking up early either way...

Sliding into the Senate...
It has been an exciting while since I last wrote on friday... Well friday night was fun, went out with people from the house and met some GW students. Then saturday found my way up to Jersey. Some slight detours in how I got there but it all worked out. Wasn't the best situation but it was amazing to see all the family. It had been so long. It really is great up there. The Shore isn't the beach but it is still great, but all the family tops it off. From the cousins to the aunts and uncles to the grandparents... oh and of course my dad on father's day. That was mostly what it was. Just spending time with people, although I am hoping to make it up later in the summer to see more of them. Then on monday took a long trip back. It was worth it but it would have been nice to have a weekend. Yesterday was a basic day, but today a little after 5 once we had finished things up we headed over to the senate. We saw five different presidental candidates, Obama, Kennedy, Liberman, Kerry and ohhh Hilary who literally slid her way into the senate by practically falling and yelping...relatively amusing (since she wasn't hurt) and it wasn't hard to notice with the yell and yellow jacket. There was also Boxer and Feinstein as well as many more. It is amazing being able to run after work and see all these people and what all they are doing. That is basically the excitement. It was a great weekend which should lead to another trip up there as well as a trip to New York...

I thought ceilings only leak in the movies???
This week has been going well. We had a huge storm wednesday night. It would have been fine other than the fact that I was on my way home when it happened. Only had to run a block but by the time I was at the door it looked like I jumped in the pool. Then I walked upstairs and the ceiling was raining... Hopefully it has been fixed but honestly I do not know. Thursday I gave my first tour of the capital and i thought I was giving it to second graders but it turned out to be eighth graders. It was lots and lots of fun. I really do miss working with kids. At somepoint I am going to have to find a balance between the poltics side I want to do and my love for working with kids. That tour was done with a different office so I got to meet more interns which is always fun. Then friday I had another tour...this time with a group of adults from the desert...one needed a wheel chair so i had to find a new way around the capital. It was pretty cool we got to see the floor and not from the gallery but right outside the floor. It was pretty cool. Other than that just random projects at work. Learning more and more about the desert. Last night was fun...went out with some of the people in the house. Met some gw students. Then wandered around georgetown. Other than that nothing too excited. Lots of fun. Heading out to the Jersey Shore for the weekend. Even though its not the best circumstances it should be good. Im looking forward to seeing my family. Thats about all for now. Just enjoying life...

If you recycle then you arent a true republican...
So this weekend was lots of fun. Started with us crazy california kids getting stuck in the middle of a thunderstorm orA monsoone or something. Which was tons of fun other than the unenjoyable wet ride back on the metro and bus. Other than that just hung out with some of my house mates. Went to tombs a pub in town for dinner. They even made my tuna melt on an english muffin just like I do at home. Then wandered around Georgetown looking to see if anything was going on. Which instead lead to us back at home having late night conversations. Sunday was a nice lazy day. Went to the pool, then it started to rain, then laid around, went to church, and nothing much other than that. It was a nice weekend but too short. I have had three day weekends all year and I don't know if these two days are acceptable. Oh well. I get a day off this week to explore which should be fun. I want to see if I can maybe get into the supreme court, since that would be amazing. Might get to see Bush when he comes to speak at the senate tomorrow. Hoping but not sure. Other then making fun of pages and being called a democrat since I think the giant post-its are a waste of paper nothing new to report...

Mattress Pads, Fans, and Hot Water
Well two of those things I now have but one of them I don't. And which one do I not have, well the most important one. I have been without hot water for 7 DAYS... Which basically means that the world is falling apart. Cold water is no fun at all. But on better news I can actually sleep now since I have bought a fan and a mattress pad. I blame my parents for the fan part but my bed is made out of cardboard really!! So now that I have a mattress pad my life is complete. Other then those two lovely and one devistating thing life has pretty much become normal. Taking the metro to work everyday. I have gotten it down to about thirty minutes from when the bus picks me up, then sit around the office all day answering phones, folding letters, doing tours, running errands, and what not else. This weekend should be nice it will be pretty warm out and the pool is not too far. I am hoping to make it to a few museums too but we will see how that goes. Well that is life for now...

So lets just say that I LOVE D.C. Its tons of fun out here. Defintaly prettier than inland California. Really the only bad thing is the humidity and yesterday it was not even that bad. Well I started work on Monday and its mostly a lot of grunt work. File letters, doing the mail and answering the phones, and although that sounds like no fun its a blast. There are two other interns on who goes to UCS and one goes to BC. Ive gotten to explore a bit. Went on my first tour yesterday and soon I will be giving them. Monday after work Chris and I (one of the other interns) walked the entire Mall. Yes that is over 2 miles one way. But it was fun. Its amazing that work is right off of that and everything that is there. Yesterday after work we (the interns) went to a Nationals v. Pirates game. It wasn't very impressive or anything but it was tons of fun. Got to know the other interns better as well as some of the obnoxious fans around us. Now its my third day of work and everything is going great. Other than that not much else going on...

Well Im here...
So I am finally here and moved in to my house in D.C. Its a bit odd but really nice too. The house is really cute, a nice little townhouse right in georgetown. Only problem is Im back to a twin size bed which is not very comfortable. Otherwise the house is great. This humidity is going to take awhile for me to get used to but it is not horrible yet, just close. Its nice to be here but I already miss home, well more so the people but thats okay. I am sure there will be more of an update once I start work but for now that is about all.
